Klerksdorp Midweek, Stilfontein - The police ask that residents pay attention to three “house buyers” who are stealing from people in the town. In one case, three suspects knocked on a house in Hennop Street on May 21 and said they were interested in buying the house.
According to the investigating officer, W/O Naas Venter, there was no for sale sign on the house to buy it.
“Two women forced the elderly resident to allow them to go through the house. A man came in later and kept the elderly lady company, while one of the women wanted to use the toilet. This was the time when the other woman stole jewels from a cupboard in the main bedroom.”
The three are at large and the police are looking for them.
