MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG: This weekend, victory was bestowed on the most fortunate at a conference that elected its new leadership of the North West African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) that was held at the Rustenburg Civic Centre.
The ANCYL conference has concluded with a new leadership line-up, marked by both continuity and change. In a closely contested election, Wessel Morweng emerged victorious, winning the chairperson seat against Tshepo Mohlomi. Their campaign focused on rejuvenating the league, promoting youth empowerment, and addressing pressing socio-economic issues facing the youth.
As the new leadership emerged from the weekend congress, young people expected much more from its leadership to represent them and to create opportunities for young people.
