MAHIKENG MIL- GROOT MARICO: The community of Groot Marico in the Ramotshere Moiloa municipal district received a multi-media centre that will cater for the needs of all in the community during the launch of Tlhokomelo HCBC and Drop in centre.
The Centre was officially opened by Deputy Minister of Social Development, Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu and MEC Lazarus Mokgosi, DDM National Champion Obed Bapela, Ngaka Modiri Molema Disitrict Municipality Mayor, Cllr. Khumalo Molefe together with Council Speaker Cllr. Nthabiseng Shuping.
The centre contains a standard set by co-sponsor MTN Foundation. MTN Group has invested about R900 000 to the centre.
The centre is located at Groot Marico community care centre, to augment other services that are enjoyed by the community. These services include Men’s Lounge, amphitheatre, early development centre and more. This was a collaborative initiative by the National Department of Social Development and MTN foundation to enhance social cohesion by creating recreational activities.
