MAHIKENG MAIL - DELAREYVILLE: Security officers stationed at the Geysdorp Reservoir site were ambushed by unidentified criminals who restrained the officers using ropes and proceeded to steal electrical cables from the facility.
Authorities have launched a full investigation into the incident and efforts are underway to apprehend those responsible. The affected officers received medical attention and support while a case of business robbery has been opened with Delareyville Police Station.
“We condemn this criminal act in the strongest possible terms and urge anyone with information to come forward and assist law enforcement in their investigation,” said Executive Mayor, Cllr Khumalo Molefe.
