R48 million Presidential Economic Stimulus project
MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG: A total of 2 400 beneficiaries across the four districts of the North West province are set to benefit from Phase 3 of the Presidential Economic Stimulus (PES).
The initiative was officially launched last week Thursday, 21 November, by Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Nokuzola Capa, alongside MEC Madoda Sambatha in Makgobistad near Mahikeng.
Foreign nationals busted with illicit cigarettes worth millions
MAHIKENG MAIL - VENTERSDORP: Potchefstroom Crime Intelligence, Potchefstroom Flying Squad, and Ventersdorp Visible Policing apprehended two Zimbabwean foreign nationals for possession of illicit cigarettes during a Crime Intelligence led operation on Friday, 22 November.
Ventersdorp Visible Policing received information about a suspicious Volvo truck that was travelling from Rustenburg to Gauteng province.

MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG: Following concerns raised by consumers about the country of origin and the authenticity of the bottled Coca-Cola’s Valpre® water sold in South Africa - as a result of the confusion on barcodes on the bottles -, the National Consumer Commission (NCC) proactively engaged the Coca-Cola Company to seek clarity on the matter.
Coca-Cola has, in a statement issued last week, provided an explanation for Valpre®, a Coca-Cola product, that is proudly bottled from its source, at Lagerspoort, Heildelberg, in South Africa.
