MAHIKENG MAIL - TAUNG - Eight accused persons appeared in the Taung Magistrates’ Court and were remanded in custody until Monday, 4 November for bail application after being arrested for attempted murder and kidnapping, arson, murder and malicious damage to property.
The accused appeared as follows: Letlhogolo Mothobi (38) and Itumeleng Boikanyo (45) are facing charges of kidnapping, attempted murder and malicious damage to property.

Duo arrested for theft
MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG - Mary Ntombi Mielies (36), former School Governing Body treasurer and Masilonyana Kenneth Selebalo (51), former administrative clerk at Thakadu Primary School appeared in the Leeudoringstad Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 22 October facing 88 counts of theft.
Di Bruin Gospel Project gets nomination in the SAMAs
MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG - With only a few years in the music industry, Di Bruin Gospel has already become a guru in this music genre with more than ten awards at various music awards since its inception.
The project has proven, beyond reasonable doubt, that they are becoming a force to be reckoned with by becoming a multi award winning Gospel Projects group in Mahikeng as they were recently awarded with the Best accapela group, in the third annual Tswina Awards, which aims to honour gospel legends and give awards to artists who have been voted for by the supporters. The event was held at Pretoria state theatre last week.
The project is also nominated for the upcoming South African Music Awards (SAMA30) for the best African Indigenous Faith Music Album taking place at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand on 2 November. “Prayer, belief and faith are the ones that brought us here.
