RUSTENBURG HERALD - HERALD - Potholes here and potholes there - potholes everywhere, potholes in the street where water they will leak... Yes, there is little doubt that Rustenburg's pothole issue has "sunk"(?) way out of control and no matter how many promises are made, the situation is worsening by the day.
The question one must ask yourself, if the Rustenburg Municipality (or government for that matter) is unable (or unwilling) to repair a single or a pair of potholes, how on earth will they ever be in a position to face this daunting task once all roads and streets in the country have been allowed to disintegrate to beyond repair?
To make matter worse - these photographs have all been taken in a single Ward - in and around Rustenburg Eastern Industrial where we couldn't even manage to cover half of the most prominent potholes in the area. There is not a single Ward or extension in town without at least a number of desperately bad potholes! Isn't this indisputable proof of a government/local authority that has failed miserably at even the most basic of undertakings? Yet, RLM and the ruling party is quick to tell you that it cares about the country and its people? This surely looks like it, doesn't it?
