RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Residents of Rustenburg Local Municipality are hereby notified of an emergency scheduled repair for the entire Vaalkop Water Treatment Plant supplied by Magalies Water.
The repair is expected to take place on Thursday, 25th January 2024 from 06:00 to Friday, 26 January at 06:00.
The repair is expected to take up to 24 hours.
As a result of this scheduled repair, consumers in certain areas of Rustenburg may experience reduced water pressure or even a complete water outage during this period.
The following areas will be affected:
1. Lethabong, Modikwe, Barseba and Bethanie
2. Rankelenyane, Moumong, Ikageng and Lekgalong
3. Phatsima, Monakato, and Robega
4. Geelhoutpark, Tlhabane, Tlhabane West,
Zinniaville, Rustenburg North, Karlien Park, Industrial Area, Boitekong Extensions, Freedom Park, Paardekraal,
Sunrise Park, Ramochana, Lusikisiki, Sondela, Meriting
and Seraleng.
We urge residents to use water sparingly during this period as completion or recovery time may take up to 48 hours after supply has been fully restored.
The Municipality would like to sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.
