RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - The Acting Bojanala Platinum Sub-District 2 Commissioner, Brigadier Mamotsamai Ntoagae and her management team welcomed the sentencing of Sithandile Ndlobethi (36) to life imprisonment by the Bafokeng Magistrate Court for brutally assaulting his wife to death with a sjambok at their residence in Freedom Park.
It is alleged that in January 2023 the couple had an argument and Ndlobethi accused his wife for cheating on him and he repeatedly assaulted her with a sjambok until she lost consciousness, Sergeant Ofentse Mokgadi - SAPS Spokesperson in the Bojanala Platinum Sub-District 2 told Rustenburg Herald.
Upon realizing the state of the wife he then decided to rush her to Boitekong Health centre where she was certified dead on arrival. To police were notified and he was immediately arrested.
Brigadier Mamotsamai Ntoagae praised and thanked Detective Sergeant Motsheoa Segopolo, National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) and all other role players who contributed towards the conviction of Ndlobethi. " The sentence will send a clear and strong message and serve as a deterrence to men who are continuing to abuse women" said Brigadier Ntoagae.
