RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - The Casmar Rustenburg Impala Rugby Club has another feather in its cap with two excellent victories against Roodepoort Rugby Club in Rustenburg on Saturday. From the turnout by local supporters it was clear that Rustenburg crowds are hungry for local rugby and the clash was well supported.
In the game between Casmar Rustenburg Impala's 1st team, the home team managed no less than five tries to win by 33-21. A fine "outing" for Rustenburg Impala indeed.

Casmar Rustenburg Impala's 2nd team was also on the winning side with the final score of 19 - 11. Here the competition was fairly even though Rustenburg Impala still managed to pull off a fine victory with a number of excellent tries by the locals.
‘‘Both these games were excellent preparation for Casmar Rustenburg Impala's upcoming participation in the Phillip van Rensburg (PVR) knock-out tournament which will be contested during March 2024’’, Joe Engelbrecht of Rustenburg Impala said. (Keep watching Rustenburg Herald for all the details).  Saturday was however not a perfect day for all of Rustenburg Impala's teams with the club's u/21s losing narrowly by 5 - 7 and the club's first Women's team in a long time also being defeated by 5 - 10. Casmar Rustenburg Impala Rugby Club is nonetheless confident that a good season lies ahead and players and coaches are hard at work in preparation for the challenge.
The club wishes to thank the large number of local rugby fans for their support next to the field on Saturday. Local support is one of the most important aspects in any club's performance, Rustenburg Herald was told.
