RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Sibanye-Stillwater Rugby Club made quite sure that it carried off the trophy as winners of the Neser A League by beating Klerksdorp with an impressive score of 54 - 19 in Rustenburg on Saturday.
On top of it all they managed this feat without their Northam Rhino stars who played for the seconds and won similarly "easy" with a score of 60 - 0.
In the process, Sibanye-Stillwater made Klerksdorp suffer with a brilliant display of running rugby.

Winger Peter Camagu had an excellent, if not unmatched day on the field and was named man of the match with four tries. Four more tries were scored by Denver Dayile, Mcebesi Nomandela, Llewellyn van Niekerk and Dewaldt Havenga. Jaco Pretorius managed to convert seven of eight tries.
In addition to finishing on top of the Neser A League on Saturday, Sibanye-Stillwater almost instantly became Luiperds Champions. This weekend sees Sibanye-Stillwater taking on Stilfontein's Hurricanes - a match that would have determined the winners of the Neser A League - with Sibanye-Stillwater leading the log by a mile however, there is no chance of Sibanye-Stillwater losing - so yes, a double victory indeed! With the feat, Sibanye-Stillwater also qualified for the Gold Cup as it now represents the Luiperds of the North West Province.
"Sibanye-Stillwater's success follows a difficult road with a lot of hard work and dedication," head coach Joël Scherman said after the prize-giving ceremony. "We are delighted to find ourselves in the Gold Cub and hope to achieve the same level of success in our future endeavours. I am really ecstatic and have great appreciation for the support of our home crowds throughout the season," he concluded.
