Benedict Gift Ratlhogo (43), secretary of Zamalek, celebrated his birthday on Mandela Day at Ext 7 East, Jouberton. His birthday was the 17th. He is seen with Denis Moira, manager of the club. Gift is also seen in the team photo.

The Shinkyokushinkai Annual National Karate Tournament was held at the Saul Tsotetsi Community Centre in Sebokeng Zone 14 on Saturday July 6. The Matlosana team was in attendance, registering 25 karatekas and 13 of them brought silverware back home. Salmina Motshana, Botlhokwa Motswenyane, Amahle Boqashi and Gift Ngake won their categories after brilliant and courageous efforts. The team will now prepare for the Gauteng Championships to be held next month. They train under Sensei Thomas Mayekani.
