MAHIKENG MAIL - LEHURUTSHE: The North West Housing Corporation (NWHC) held a productive community meeting with residents of Lehurutshe Units 1 and 2, focusing on revenue enhancement, debt collection, and the registration of title deeds.

NWHC CEO, Bishop Sello Mogodiri, underscored the importance of tenants collaborating with the Corporation to settle outstanding debts and adhere to the rental payment terms outlined in their lease agreements. “Tenants must work closely with the NWHC to meet their financial obligations,” said Bishop Mogodiri. “By doing so, we can continue to improve services and create a sustainable environment for all residents. We are here to resolve all issues faced by our clients in Lehurutshe.”
He also emphasised the ongoing collaboration with the Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality to address clearance certificate issues, which are essential for enabling tenants to register their title deeds. “We are working hand-in-hand with the Municipality to ensure that tenants can finally register their title deeds, a step that will empower them to fully own their homes,” added the CEO.
Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality Speaker, Cllr Portia Letshufi, expressed her gratitude for the NWHC’s visit and its commitment to resolving long-standing issues. “The issue of title deeds has been a source of concern for many residents of Lehurutshe for years, and we are pleased that the NWHC, alongside the Municipality, is dedicated to finding a lasting solution. This is a significant step towards ensuring a brighter future for our community,” said Cllr Letshufi. The meeting also provided an opportunity for community members to voice their concerns, all of which were attended to during the session. The NWHC reassured residents that their issues will be closely monitored and addressed in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
This initiative reflects the NWHC’s commitment to strengthening relationships with local communities and ensuring that all residents have access to the support and resources they need to thrive.
