MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG - The Chuck Dee Foundation celebrated the birthday party of its Founder, Mr Busang, together with Bomme ba Thapelo ya Lefatshe ba Mahikeng, who threw a surprise party for him. The party was followed by a charity outreach at Slurry Primary School, led by Professor Chanza from North West University.
The event involved a series of supporting activities that included prayer sessions, motivational talks and counselling. In addition the learners received essential items such as clothing, fruits and toiletry hampers. Discovering the challenging conditions at the school, Mr Busang committed to adopt three learners, to ensure that their educational needs are met until they complete their studies. Discussions are also underway to potentially adopt the entire school with NWU’s assistance.
NWU athletes shine at IFBB South African National Championships
MAHIKENG MAIL - KWA ZULU-NATAL - North-West University’s (NWU) Mahikeng Campus bodybuilding team, which competed in the South African International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) Championships from 1 - 3 August in KwaZulu-Natal, saw impressive performances from NWU athletes, with six out of the ten participants securing top six finishes in their respective categories.

MAHIKENG MAIL - RUSTENBURG - The Bojanala Platinum District Municipality, with Dr Auchalie Mothupi in the driving seat as the Acting Municipal Manager (MM), came under the spotlight again - this time as North West Premier, Lazarus Kagiso Mokgosi, commended the transition the municipality was enjoying as a result of administrative measures that put the municipality on the pedestal of consequence management.

Three lives lost in an accident in Mahikeng
MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG - Three people (two men and one woman) died in a horrific accident at 03:00 in MaHikeng CBD last weekend. They were allegedly travelling from a well-known nightclub in Riviera Park outside Mahikeng.
