MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG - The 2024 MTN8 tournament road show took a stop at Mahikeng Mail newspapers’ offices for the exciting MTN 8 tournament where venues and dates were confirmed for semi-finals of the game. 
The MTN8 team’s  visit was to provide an exclusive opportunity for Mahikeng Mail readers to get closer to the action and see what the MTN8 tournament was all about.

 

Mahikeng Mail’s team had an opportunity to engage with the most respected figures in South African football, who included the 2024 MTN8 legends Lehlohonolo Majoro and Morgan Gould, who shared insight on the tournament. The tournament commences with the semi-final fixtures that will include Cape Town City (at home) versus Orlando Pirates in the first leg of their clash on Tuesday,  27 August 2024 at DHL Stadium, with kick-off at 19:00. The second leg fixture will be held at Orlando Stadium on Saturday,  31 August 2024. Kick-off is at 15:00.
Meanwhile, in the other semi-final bracket, Mamelodi Sundowns will face Stellenbosch FC in their first leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday, 28 August 2024, with kick off at 19:00 while the return leg is scheduled for Sunday, 1 September 2024 at Moses Mabhida Stadium, kicking off at 15:00.
The winning team stands a chance of being an R8 000 000 winner, while fans can enjoy the prizes  from MTN8. The  tournament features a charity initiative - every goal will contribute R20 000 to charity, last fan standing, last journalist standing.
