MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG: Mahikeng’s very own Bontle Manana, will stand a chance to represent the North West province in the Mrs South Africa (powered by iME), after been selected as a semi-finalist.
“This opportunity is important to me, all well as women around me and young girls and boys from villages, as part of my passion is availing career information to the masses through my career counselling and guidance services,” noted Manana. The big draw for Bontle is to offer genuine empowerment, personal transformation, and the ability to make a lasting impact in the society she lives in.
She said this is more than just a pageant, as Mrs South Africa’s main purpose is to equip women with hands-on leadership and communication skills.

Through public speaking workshops, brand-building sessions, and mentorship, participants discover their inner confidence, amplifying their voices as forces for positive change. “I would love to learn, grow and develop skills for running community outreach programmes, specifically focusing on pursuing unconventional careers and individuals’ true callings. Every story is unique - ask every contestant, and each will have a different defining moment that brought them here.”
Likewise, for Manana, her reason for joining the Mrs South Africa sisterhood was clear. “Growing up in Phola Village profoundly shaped my life, instilling a deep sense of community over individualism. From a young age, I’ve been passionate about helping others. The opportunity to be part of the Mrs South Africa platform provides me with powerful influence that I can leverage to secure resources for offering free career counselling services to villagers. This initiative aims to foster self-awareness and ignite the innate, God-given potential within each individual.” For Manana, the reason she joined the Mrs South Africa sisterhood was clear: “To unleash my God-given light and use it to illuminate the world, with a primary focus on giving back to society at large.”
