MAHIKENG MAIL-MAHIKENG: Khumalo Molefe, the Executive Mayor of Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality, extended his outmost best wishes to Motheo Mokoto, a young and bright shining star hailing from Mahikeng town in the North West Province.
Motheo has earned herself remarkable achievement of being one of the finalist in the prestigious Miss World South Africa beauty pageant, scheduled to be held in December in India.

Molefe said Motheo was a proud “Daughter of the Soil” who was also a founder of Lorako Foundation established to be a community development agency.
“What distinguishes Motheo from other contestants is her visionary mission that is focused on forming strategic partnerships with influential stakeholders aiming to ensure the development and facilitation of scalable community interventions in and around our local communities, with the ultimate ambition to impact our nation positively,” said the Executive Mayor during his brief meeting with Motheo.
One of Motheo’s notable contributions is working with local schools, including the Lotlamoreng Primary School and GJ Podile Primary School in Mahikeng, where she organized hygiene workshops for Girls. Her commitment to the well-being and empowerment of young girls is admirable and reflects her hands-on approach to community engagement.
She will be joined by Molefe and other stakeholders during a planned renovation of a children’s ward at Mahikeng Provincial Hospital. The programme will include donation of toys and toiletries.
Her dedication to the local community was evident when she held title of Miss Face of Mahikeng for the year 2021/22. This accolade underscores her active involvement in communities around her.
The Executive Mayor continued to praise Motheo  for her significant role in childhood development and her continuous commitment to engaging with communities. In her engagement with the Executive Mayor, Motheo highlighted that she aspires to forge partnerships with the Mahikeng Provincial Hospital Children’s Ward, to cement her dedication to the well-being of our children.
“We look forward to witnessing Motheo’s continued journey and the positive impact she will undoubtedly have in the days and years to come. We extend our best wishes and support for all her future endeavours,” Molefe said in his closing remarks.
