MAHIKENG MAIL-MAHIKENG: North West Province on November 10th joined Free Palestine movement calling for the ceasefire between Israel and Palestine which has resulted in casualties in Gaza caused by the Israeli occupation war since October 7 2023. 

The war has led to ongoing killings where hospitals and innocent residents were targeted in Gaza by Israeli airstrike bombing. Hospitals which were a safe resort for vulnerable people and patients became graveyards while many others were buried under the rumbles of bombed building. 
Many of the Palestinians were besieged running out gradually from fuel, water, electricity causing casualties among ICU patients and infants mainly.
The continued records of Martyrs: 11 180+ ( including 4609 children, 3100 women); Wounded: 28 200+ ( 70% children and women); Reported missing under the rubble: 3250 (including1700 children); Medical staff martyrs: 198; Civil defence martyrs: 20; 22 hospitals and 49 health care centers are out of service and 53 ambulances targeted.
The peaceful march was led by various organizations including the Embassy of the State of Palestine joined Provincial leaders of the Alliance at a march organised by the South African Communist Party (SACP) in the Moses Kotane Municipality, jointly with the Mahikeng Muslim Community Association in the presence of ANC NEC member,  Dakota Legoete. 
Counsellor Bassam Elhussiny represented the Embassy at the march from Mmabatho Stadium to the North West Provincial government. “We know the pain of oppression. Free Palestine now, its children don’t deserve the brutality. The people of the North-West are in solidarity with the Palestinian that enough is enough with the killing having in Gaza”.
