MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG - The North West Sports Confederation will be hosting the Annual Coaches Summit on Saturday, 13 July at the North West University (Mafikeng Campus) where coaches across the North West are expected to converge for this summit.
The sole purpose of the Summit will engage and share new trends on coaching among the principals and aspects to be addressed will be Sports Science, Sports nutrition, Exercise Science, Periodisation and Career Path. The summit will feature prominent speakers such as the Newly Appointed Netball South Africa Senior National Team Coach Jenny van Dyk, Legendary Football Coach Augusto Palacios and Sports Science pundit Sandra Wushe.
The speakers will conduct a panel discussion that detail the importance of coaching and coaches as part of skills transferrence and development.
The coaching profession has proven that it can enable coaches to teach important physical skills, portray leadership skills, build relationships in teams, effective communication, enhance players’ performance, promote diversity and inclusion, promote safety in sport, fulfil athletes’ dreams, implement knowledge and to serve humanity.
“We look forward to host coaches across the province to join this important summit, meant to empower them in the coaching professions. This summit is meant for coaches to explore and understand what is required of them on and off the pitch.
“We have invited a strong line-up of panellists who will serve the intended purpose of this summit to all the coaches from all levels,” said an excited NWPSC President Thebe Sekoto.
