MAHIKENG MAIL – MAHIKENG - The South African National Roads Agency, (Sanral) recently displayed the other side of their responsibility as a nation-building partner in the country, when they relaunched the much-celebrated annual Sanral Bursary scheme and scholarship programme.

The event took place at three different schools in Mahikeng (including Barolong High and Phetlhu -A-Maine), where Sanral officials explained to grade 8 to grade 12 learners the reasons and importance of the bursary scheme.
In his statement, Mfundo Gamede explained that Sanral believed that education is the key to unlocking our country’s potential and that Sanral is  committed to supporting deserving students on their academic journey.
The applications for this year opened on 25 June and wiil close on 30 September, for students who wish to continue with their education and grow their skills and achieve success.
The learners can apply for scholarship towards their school expenses involving any subject. Matriculants looking to pursue tertiary studies and current students already enrolled at a tertiary institution, may also apply.
The programme also supports studies in various fields that are critical to Sanral’s operations, even beyond engineering. 
Limited scholarships on postgraduate and undergraduate levels are available in different fields including human resources, civil engineering, finance, electronic engineering and supply chain.
