MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG - Three people (two men and one woman) died in a horrific accident at 03:00 in MaHikeng CBD last weekend. They were allegedly travelling from a well-known nightclub in Riviera Park outside Mahikeng.
According to the preliminary investigation, there were about 18 passengers, including a driver, in a light delivery vehicle (bakkie).
The driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle before hitting a tree.
The MEC for the North West Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, Wessels Morweng, expressed sadness on the loss of lives of young people and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and wished speedy recovery to the injured who were taken to the hospital.
