STELLALANDER-DEBEN: Two men, aged 20 and 25, were apprehended on Tuesday, 23 January by police in Deben, after information led the police to a scrapyard where a stolen water pump was found.

This comes after a farm owner in the area, reported on Monday, 22 January that a water pump from his farm to the value of R 25 000 was stolen. Although the water pump was found shredded in pieces when seized, the owner positively identified the property. He also commended the Deben SAPS members for their swift response which led to the apprehension of the suspects and recovery of the stolen property. Both suspects are expected to appear soon in Kathu Magistrate’s Court on a charge of theft.
