RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Three Star Cash & Carry’s annual Stokvel event took place on Saturday, 9 November at the Impala Sports Complex.
With this year’s Stokvel in its 16th year of existence, the entire sports field was abuzz with thousands of customers milling around the Coca Cola stage, eagerly waiting on their chance to grab one of the lucky draw prizes. The prizes were donated by Three Star Cash & Carry and their suppliers - to the value of R100 000.
Attendees were not deterred by the light drizzle that wetted the ground for most of the day and they eagerly put on their sponsored t-shirts upon arrival and joined in the day’s activities. With an array of 37 suppliers lining the field (up from 33 suppliers in 2023) excited Stokvel members socialised around the main stage under a gigantic tent where the day’s programme took place.
“The Stokvel expo is an opportunity to bring the Stokvel members closer to the suppliers to enable product branding. Three Star Cash & Carry recognises the importance of the Stokvel as part of the Three Star family and in this way, we can ensure our customers are getting the best products at the best price,” commented Wayne Labuschagne, Regional General Manager of Consolidated Store Holdings.
“Three Star Cash & Carry would like to thank all of its Stokvel members for making the event successful,” said Labuschagne, adding that Three Star Cash & Carry is open to all members of the public. “We are committed to giving you the greatest service and prices in town - no buying cards needed.”
The day’s proceedings concluded with a scrumptious lunch that was prepared on site by various suppliers, showing their commitment to their customers and indeed, their gratitude for loyal patronship.
