RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - The Rustenburg Police has confirmed that a horrible head-on collision took place on the Bakwena N4 only a few metres from the twin Shell garages outside Kroondal on Monday afternoon.
According to prelimanary reports, the driver of a white Isuzu bakkie crashed into an approaching eight ton FAW truck and died on the scene.
The Isuzu bakkie was apparently travelling in the direction of Rustenburg when the accident happened.
It is alleged that the Isuzu driver was trying to overtake when the accident happened.
The truck driver and members of his crew were attended by paramedics at the scene with no visible injuries. The police are investigating a case of culpable homicide, Sergeant Ofentse Mokgadi SAPS Spokesperson in the Bojanala Platinum Sub-District 2 told Waldie Volschenk of Rustenburg Herald on Tuesday.
