RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - The 1st rugby team of Sibanye Stillwater was not on the winning side during its clash against Welkom Rovers in Welkom last weekend.
Sibanye returned to Rustenburg with a loss of 43 - 27 after leading at halftime with 20 - 19. Too many mistakes in the second half, as well as an intercept try cost Sibanye the game, coach Joel Scherman told Rustenburg Herald on Monday.

This weekend will see Sibanye in another do-or-die clash against arch enemies Casmar Rustenburg Impala on the fields of Impala on Saturday afternoon when the Rustenburg Platinum floating trophy will be up for grabs for the winning side.
Rustenburg rugby enthusiasts are called up in large numbers to support the two teams. Sibanye is the current holders of the trophy and will try its utmost to rightfully claim ownership of the trophy.
The clash between the two clubs' 1st and 2nd teams are scheduled for 14:00 and 15:30.
