RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Sibanye-Stillwaters’ two “famous” Pretorius brothers are their team’s favourites of the week after the pair contributed no less than 31 points from a total of 66 in an excellent victory of 66 - 10 against Matlosana (Orkney), just outside Klerksdorp on Saturday.
Captain Jaco Pretorius’ personal tally was 21 points, which included eight goal kicks while his brother Hardus scored two magnificent tries. Sibanye-Stillwater’s star newbie, Warren Brits, was crowned Man of the Match. But Alberts was not the only new Sibanye-Stillwater player who had an excellent day on the field.

Fellow new players, Kennedy Rorwana and Gregory Claasen, each scored one of a total of 10 tries, while Lelo Mrwebi had an outstanding day on the field. Points were scored as follows:
Hardus Pretorius (2); JJ Scherman (2); Dewaldt Havenga (1); Jaco Pretorius (1); Camagu Peter (2); Kennedy Rorwana (1) and Gregory Claasen (1). As mentioned earlier, Jaco Pretorius was instrumental in an excellent victory with his personal tally of eight from 10 goal kicks.
Sibanye-Stillwater returned to Rustenburg in high spirits after the club’s 2nd team was also on the winning side with Matlosana given a whitewash defeat of 76 - 0. In the match between the 2nd teams, Isaak Muchanga was honoured as Man of the Match.
This weekend will see Sibanye-Stillwater in a home game against Klerksdorp in Rustenburg. The two teams will meet at 13:30 and 15:00 respectively, which will leave Springbok supporters with enough time to watch all the rugby on Saturday - Sibanye-Stillwater will appreciate the support of their home crowd!
