RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Sibanye-Stillwater pushed Welkom Rovers to their limits in the two sides' clash at the former RPM rugby fields in Waterval on Saturday, but nonetheless lost by a single point. 
Welkom finished victorius with a score of 36 - 35 against a spirited Sibanye-Stillwater who put together two halves of brilliant rugby. Things have gone somewhat better for Sibanye-Stillwater's second team by beating their counterparts narrowly by 22 - 20. 

Sibanye-Stillwater center Dewaldt Havenga put up a brave and solid performance to clinch the Man of the Match award. Sakkie Smit, Jaco Pretorius, Christo Willemse and Ruan van Rensburg were the players who scored for Sibanye-Stillwater. Jaco Pretorius was also successful with three penalties and three conversions and furthermore scored a try to take his personal tally to 20 points. 
Sibanye-Stillwater's next match is an away game against rivals Matlosana (Klerksdorp), this Saturday. Coach Joel Scherman and Sibanye-Stillwater management is confident that their side will be able to pull this one off to return to Rustenburg victorious.
