BONUS - RUSTENBURG - The Cape Town leg of the SPAR Women’s Challenge series incorporating the SPAR Grand Prix, is sold out. 
The race, which is capped at 16 000, will take place in Greenpoint on Sunday, 30 March, with the apt theme #Twenty20Thrive.
This is the opening race of the prestigious SPAR Grand Prix 10km series which has attracted a top women’s entry from not only South Africa, but the continent.

Women from the Mother City and surrounds, who did not leave it till number 99 to enter, will take up the challenge, running or walking South Africa’s ‘Most Beautiful’ race along the Atlantic Seaboard. The 10km race and 5km Fun Run starts and finishes in Greenpoint.
“We are extremely excited to once again be hosting this fabulous event in our beautiful Mother City,” says Elsabe van Zyl-Felix, Advertising Manager for SPAR Western Cape and Namibia. “We look forward to welcoming our elite athletes, as well as our loyal ladies who come and run or walk the Challenge with their friends. Our theme for the race encourages everyone to take the best versions of themselves, move on - and thrive.” Entrants can collect their race packs with their race numbers at their selected Sportsman’s Warehouse on Friday, 28 March and Saturday, 29 March. No collections will take place on race day.
To avoid congestion in the Greenpoint area, the City encourages that entrants park at the Civic Centre and catch the MyCiti bus (using their MyConnect Transport card ) to the start. Parking will be open from 05:00.  Security will be in place and participants will not be charged to park there. The first bus departs at 6:06 am from the Civic Centre to Granger Bay/Waterfront.
Cape Town’s Mayor, Mr Geordin Hill- Lewis, will shoot the start gun for the 10 km Race at 7:00. The 10 km walk follows at 7:15 and the 5 km Fun Run at 7:40. There will be batch starts for all distances.
