BONUS – RUSTENBURG – A Vryburg man who went missing last week was found near Kroondal over the weekend.
Major Okedutse Itumeleng (47) was last seen in Vryburg after work on Friday (27 October). He told family that he was planning on hiking from Vryburg to Johannesburg. A search was conducted around Vryburg and surrounding areas, without any success.
The past weekend, Itumeleng was found lying next to the road at Kroondal. He was badly assaulted and had to be admitted to a Rustenburg hospital.
According to police, two unknown men offered Itumeleng a lift when he was hitchhiking from Vryburg. They then robbed him of his bank cards and cell phone, assaulted him before leaving him next to the road.
