Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Nomsa Mgina (18) fell in love with modelling in high school. Her first title was Miss Excelsior. The second title was Miss TVOTY (the voice of the youth 2022). Currently she owns the title of First Princess of Miss Northwest Exclusive and she decided to re-enter Miss Northwest Exclusive. “I am passionate about social development of children especially those with special needs, I believe that children with special needs are not being given sufficient recognition. Growing up with a sibling who is physically challenged and who requires special attention makes me want to give more love to children who are experiencing the same challenges. Children with special needs are often restricted by their disability in terms of being physically active and being able to engage with other kids,” she said.
She aims to work in partnership with organizations that are working towards the same goal to create a safe space for these children. With this initiative, she wants to create an inclusive space for these children where they are able to engage with other kids, play with them and be socially active with them.
She aims to buy material equipment or toys that will enable these children to be physically active despite their disability.
