Lentswe, Klerksdorp - It was a celebration of note when Build It Plus in Klerksdorp handed a bright red Hyundai i10 to one of its clients. Mapaseka Monaheng was dressed to the nines when she received the key to her brand new wheels from Sammy Kwinika on behalf of Build It Plus.

Staff and family ululated the handover, with Mapaseka’s smile almost going right around her face. She stays in Orkney and bought material for her home in Khuma when she entered the competition.

Build It launched the “Win 1 of 10 Hyundai i10 Cars” competition last year and out of 44 stores nationwide, the local branch was delighted to find out that their client was one of the winners. Mapaseka told Lentswe she is keeping the winning car for herself as her old vehicle will be used by family.

Build it Plus Klerksdorp’s history started with humble beginnings in 2008 with the Build it Orkney branch, which services the Orkney region and parts of the Free State Province.

“There was a huge demand from the Klerksdorp community to open a branch in Klerksdorp. Utilising our experience and expertise gained over the years, in 2020 a premises was located and plans were put into place to open up a mega-store,’’ said owner Yusuf Seedat.

The model that was decided was a ‘Build it Plus’ store. The ‘Plus’ store consists of a wider and exclusive range of products and services which include glass-cutting, board cutting and edging, key-cutting, gas exchanging, paint mixing and delivery services.

The business continue to expand and a showroom showcasing a huge range of high-end sanitary ware, wall and floor tiles and lighting was also added to the model.

“Our core values include entrepreneurship and passion. Our mission is to turn ‘no’ into ‘yes’ and ‘can’t’ into ‘can’ hence the ‘Yes We Can’ brand essence. We, at Build it Plus, strongly believe in giving back to our communities. Our initiatives also include sponsoring under-13 soccer development in the greater Klerksdorp region and contributing to other community projects.’’

Seedat congratulated Mapaseka and said he wishes her many safe miles in her stunning new car before she drove it out of the store under loud ululating from staff and family.
