Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The Jouberton Old Teachers Association held a birthday celebration for some of the members who celebrated their birthday from April to June. The retired teachers normally celebrate their golden years on quarterly basis. The celebration was held at Rio Casino on Tuesday July 16.
The Retired Teachers Association was formed in 2004.
Lucky Lebakeng, chairperson, said the association is dedicated to celebrating the incredible contributions of retired teachers. Their mission is simple yet powerful: to provide a supportive network where retired teachers can connect, share and thrive. The association normally gives back to the community by donating to old age and children’s homes.
Lebakeng added “We believe that the legacy of educators is worth preserving and that their wisdom and experience can continue to inspire future generations.”
