Lentswe, Klerksdorp - McGenius Academy hosted the Dad’s Guidance Initiative recently. In effort to combat the matters and as a celebration of both father’s day and youth day, McGenius Academy NPC hosted the Dad’s Guidance Initiative on June 20. The programme was in collaboration with SAVF Rethabile Home and various stakeholders including SAPS, Social Development, Correctional Services, Department of Justice and many more.
Local craftsman laid to rest
Mohani Ngwenya, fondly known as “Honey B,” was a talented and self-taught craftsman. He was well known for his skills in bricklaying, carpentry, architecture, and fashion design. He had a sharp eye for beauty and detail. His nickname, “Honey B,” came from his sweet, sleek, and stylish nature. He worked passionately until illness forced him to stop. Sadly, he passed away on June 28. He will be laid to rest on Saturday July 5 at 538 Extension 1, Jouberton.

New NPO helps the needy
Lentswe, Jouberton - A local NPO, Untold Stories from Kasi, is trying to help the community. Ono Nyali founded the NPO. Together with Alex Thobela and Tshepo Mafaesa, they organized a Youth Boxing Tournament to bring the community together. They used the money raised from the entrance tickets to make a difference.
Phodiso celebrates 8th birthday
Lentswe, Kanana - Phodiso Worship Centre commemorated its 8th anniversary on June 22. The church was founded on June 21 in 2017.
Phodiso Worship Centre is managed and supervised by Apostle TD Mofokeng, the founder and leader of the Ark of God. This church has been functioning well and remains active, despite facing challenges that demanded significant resilience and doubt from others.
