Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Phoebe Moselane (20) from Jouberton is a finalist for Miss North West Exclusive 2024. She is currently a Business Management student at Vuselela TVET College, Klerksdorp campus. “From a young age I knew I wanted something different, something more that I can share purely and enthusiastically. Beauty pageantry seemed like a distant dream.

My passion for igniting change and inspiring hope drove me to pursue it relentlessly. My first title was Miss Tshedimosetso 2018, second title was Miss High School First Princess 2018 and currently I am the holder of Miss Vuselela 2023 and The Face Queen of Red Carpet Sead Agency and now I serve as a finalist of Miss North West Exclusive 2024,” she said.

She is deeply passionate about creating peer support groups. This passion motivates her to work diligently and remain focused on developing interventions that address the needs of the youth and the broader community.

“As a finalist my campaign is dedicated to transforming and building a better environment for young people and my community. Peer Support Groups, comprised of individuals of similar age and interests, play a crucial role in childhood and adolescent social development. Adolescents, in particular, experience strong peer influence and those facing challenges often feel isolated or misunderstood by their families.”

Phoebe had a recent charity supply drive at Akofang Primary School, which was one of the key tasks in her journey. She donated 11 pairs of school shoes to underprivileged learners. This platform has taught her that true beauty lies not in external appearances but in the wisdom and compassion shared to help others.

“Participating in such initiatives not only fulfils a necessity but also aligns with her purpose of being a voice for the voiceless and striving for positive change in the world.”
