Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Customers and consumers in Klerksdorp joined the management of Overland Powertrade and local NPO SAVF Evanna Home for the Elderly recently as IWISA No 1 launched its new “Fills Good” campaign at the wholesaler.

Speaking at the event, Chanel Kruger, Premier FMCG Brand Manager: Maize, Pasta and Breakfast, explained that the campaign will see R1 donated to the SAVF Evanna Home from every qualifying purchase of IWISA No 1 at Overland Powertrade: “This is a purpose-driven campaign where the donation comes directly from the product purchase. It will be made by Premier to the Evanna Home as part of our commitment to support their remarkable work, and help to build and grow this community.”

One of South Africa’s most celebrated staples, IWISA No 1 has been a household brand for over 60 years. “IWISA No 1 has always been a community-driven brand. Our brand purpose speaks to bringing individuals, families and communities together to build, grow and do great things. It’s all about making a positive and sustainable difference,” noted Kruger. “This campaign allows us to do just that – with our customers driving the achievement of the donation target. This makes their choice count, especially as they selected the NPO that will benefit from their purchase.”

She explained that the IWISA No 1 sales team worked closely with the management of Overland Powertrade to select a registered charity close to the community’s heart.

“We wanted to amplify the local impact and difference the Evanna Home was making through their work with the elderly in our community. They care for and support them when they need it the most,” said José De Achadinha, Overland Powertrade Cash & Carry: Store Owner. “We’re excited about working together to raise a donation that will assist with the maintenance and upgrading of buildings and facilities at the home. Our sales team here at Overland Powertrade is ready!”

Customers at the event had the opportunity to meet representatives from the SAVF Evanna Home, discovering more about their impact and the work in the community. They also sampled delicious IWISA No 1 dishes and enjoyed the on-site entertainment.

“Thank you to Overland Powertrade and IWISA No 1 for their commitment to our future as an organisation,” concluded Theresa Cronje, SAVF Evanna Tehuis: Manager. “Keep watching this space - and please keep supporting us through this campaign. Your choice can make all the difference.”
