Lentswe, Orkney - During the festive holidays, the South African government is implementing a comprehensive strategy to address the heightened risk of criminal activity. This initiative, known as Safer Festive Season operations, is spearheaded by the Justice, Crime Prevention and Security (JCPS) Cluster. The MEC for Community Safety & Transport Management, Wessels Morweng, and the Acting Provincial Commissioner of NW, Major General Patrick Asaneng, will launch the Provincial Safer Festive Season Operations at Mpheqeke Stadium, Kanana on Friday October 17. The operations will run from October 1 until January 31, 2026, in conjunction with Operation Shanela.
