Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Eskom customers in NW are urged to check their meter numbers to see whether they are registered with Eskom.
According to the Eskom media desk, since Eskom embarked on the Key Revision Numbers or the Token Identifier Rollover Programme, they have noticed that there were unallocated meters in existence, with insufficient details on the database. The Token Identifier Rollover Programme is a prepaid electricity metering industry undertaking to ensure that all prepaid meters that will roll over to a new Token Identifier Code not later than November 30, are correctly recoded.

If no action is taken, your prepaid meter will not roll over to the new code. It will also not accept the tokens you buy as the meter code would have expired.

Customers may submit their details at Eskom Customer Centres, Eskom Vendors and to Ward Councilors. The customer details and particulars that Eskom requires to register their meter are: name and surname, copy of identity document, the physical address, telephone/cell phone numbers and meter number.
