Lentswe, Potchefstroom - Klerksdorp Primary School entered the most science projects at the Eskom Expo regional science fair.

A total of 84 budding young scientists from the region presented 61 research projects at the event, which took place on Friday August 2. The projects on display were evaluated by 32 judges, which included educators, specialists, academics, and dedicated Eskom Expo supporters. 

 

 

The most popular categories were Engineering, Energy, Environmental Science, Computer Science and Software Development, and Social Sciences. The top young scientists were honoured with the prestigious Eskom Special Awards at the region’s awards ceremony. 

The award recipients, who received Bluetooth wireless speakers with wireless chargers, included Best development project for Lefa Leburu and Sahara Onito, Grade 7 at Klerksdorp Primary School and best primary school projects that went to Esmé Cronjé from Laerskool Noordvaal; and again the KPS duo of Lefa Leburu and Sahara Onito.

A total of seven highly coveted gold medals were awarded at the awards ceremony, along with nine silver medals and thirty bronze medals.
