STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: Joe Morolong Memorial Hospital in Vryburg commemorated the World Eye Sight Day through issuance of spectacles to learners around Vryburg on Thursday, 10 October 2024.
This emanated from an outreach programme that the Eye Clinic Department from the hospital embarked on to assess learners for various eye conditions.

This also assisted in detecting refractive errors and any other ocular conditions that can be treated at an early stage. Forty learners at the following schools were issued with spectacles: Thuto Lesedi Primary School, Pule Leeuw Secondary School, Moeti Primary School, Mokgosi Primary School and Colinda Primary School.
The hospital appeals to parents and guardians to ensure that consent forms are signed in order for learners to be assessed for eye conditions.
