RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - IWISA No 1 launched its “Fills Good” initiative in Rustenburg on Saturday, 11 May. Partnered with Save A Lot Three-Star Powertrade, the campaign will see the brand donate R1 to the Lighthouse Children’s Home for every qualifying IWISA No 1 product purchase made at the wholesaler between 1 April and 30 November 2024.
Elsa Doubell, co-owner of Lighthouse Children’s Home, commented that fundraising efforts are underway to purchase an exit house for young adults, with a target of R600 000 needed by the end of November.

“As a donation-based organisation, we rely completely on the generosity of individuals, companies, and the community to support our cause.” As such, Save A Lot Three-Star Powertrade and IWISA No 1 are encouraging customers to share the joy of feeling good and doing good as they fill up their trolleys and tummies. Speaking at the event, Sibongile Mooko, Premier FMCG Executive: Marketing Milling, explained that “This is a purpose-driven campaign where the donation comes directly from the product purchase. It will be made by Premier to the Lighthouse Children’s Home as part of our commitment to support their remarkable work and help to build and grow this community. IWISA No 1 has always been a community-driven brand. Our brand purpose speaks to bring individuals, families and communities together to build, grow and do great things. It’s all about making a positive and sustainable difference,” notes Mooko.
Doubell affirmed this statement by saying, “Your support will allow us to continue doing our critical work of bringing hope, compassion, and the promise of a brighter future for children in need in our local community.”
In anticipation of the launch, IWISA No 1’s sales team worked closely with the management of Save A Lot Three-Star Powertrade to select a registered charity close to the community’s heart. “We want to amplify the local impact and difference the Lighthouse Children’s Home is making through their work with vulnerable children in our community. They care for and support them when they need it the most,” says Wayne Labuschagne, store owner of Save A Lot Three-Star Powertrade. “We’re excited to assist them to purchase an exit house for young adults turning 18 - ready to take their next steps into the world. Our sales team here at Save A Lot Three-Star Powertrade is ready!”
Customers at the event had the opportunity to meet representatives and child ambassadors from Lighthouse, discovering more about their impact and the work in the community. They also sampled delicious IWISA No 1 dishes and enjoyed the on-site entertainment.
“Thank you to Save A Lot Three-Star Powertrade and IWISA No 1 for their commitment to our future as an organisation,” concluded Doubell. “Keep watching this space – and please keep supporting us through this campaign. Your choice can make all the difference.”
