RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - With Braai Day around the corner, South Africa’s favourite social activity, there was no time like to present to “invest” in some (or all) of the spices, sauce or meat packs from the Jacques Kallis range.
President Hyper, now recognised as one of Rustenburg’s top shopping destinations, in the spirit of community, launched their “Fly with Jacques Kallis” competition in May. One winner was drawn at the end of June, at the end of July and again at the end of August, after purchasing any of the products in the Jacques Kallis range.
The three winners (Mariaan van der Walt, Lesego Ramaboa and Deidré Venter) received an autographed and framed Jacques Kallis cricket bat, as well as the privilege to be flown over the Rustenburg skies with Mr Kallis himself, along with an invited friend/family member. The quick, but unforgettable helicopter rides took place on Monday, 1 September - a first-time experience for all the winners.
Launching from the parking area at President Boulevard, the Rustenburg Herald team was there to share in the exciting moment with the winners, who commented that the experience was definitely one for the memory books, but over much too soon.
Jacques Kallis, former Protea cricketer, spent a big part of his morning interacting with members of the public at a stall set up in front of President Hyper. He signed autographs, took photos and shared short chats with fans (young and old alike).
* Keep shopping at President Hyper Rustenburg in the coming weeks, as their “Win a Car” competition is still on, with the draw taking place soon.
