RUSTENBURG HERALD - SWARTRUGGENS - This past weekend, anglers from across the region converged at Swartruggens Dam for the annual, highly anticipated social fishing competition. 
The event was a resounding success, with participants of all skill levels coming together to test their mettle against the waters.

The competition was fierce, with anglers vying for top honours and coveted prizes. Participants displayed remarkable skill and sportsmanship, making the event a showcase of local fishing talent.
The date for next year’s event has already been set for 7-9 November, again at the Swartruggens Dam, to coincide with the town’s 80s Festival. “We’re already looking forward to next year’s event and invite all fishing enthusiasts to join us for another unforgettable experience. Mark your calendars and get ready to cast your line!” the event organisers commented.
