RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - NWK, South Africa’s oldest agricultural company, is proud to announce its role as the official fuel partner of the inaugural South African Safari Rally.
Having celebrated its 116th anniversary on 4 May, NWK is deeply rooted in the North West province and its rural communities. For the company, getting involved in the Safari Rally was a natural decision – a unique opportunity to contribute to an international motorsport spectacle taking place right on its doorstep.
NWK is supplying 25 000 litres of fuel for the rally’s participating motorcycles and vehicles. In addition, NWK filling stations situated along the route support participants, crews, and spectators, with extended operating hours and extra staff on hand to ensure smooth, efficient service.
Fuel tankers are being strategically positioned along the route, dispensing an estimated 4 000 litres per day. NWK staff members operating these points have undergone the necessary training and are equipped with specialist safety gear to ensure full compliance with all safety regulations.
NWK is also supplying 8 000 bottles of purified water, packaged at its in-house water purification facility using recycled plastic. These are available at refuelling points and other key locations along the rally route.
Dedicated bins are available to promote responsible disposal and recycling of the bottles.
