The children of Khaya Tshepo Home of Hope and Vulnerable Children thoroughly enjoy their outings. They tackle a different topic each week, and air travel was recently discussed. It was decided that the children should see first-hand what airplanes look like. Cliff Lotter, a well-known local pilot, was approached, and he and his wife, Belinda, warmly welcomed the group on June 11.
They even had food and drinks prepared. The children were able to climb in and sit on the wing. A gyrocopter also flew in that day, and the children were able to check it out as well. According to Charlene Diedericks, the children were enthralled.
