Empowering the youth
Lentswe, Khuma - The Masibambane Youth and Skills Development (MYASD) NPO in partnership with Khuma Clinic and other stakeholders hosted a successful Mandela Day event. They reached out to 113 young people who received sanitary products, clothes and underwent medical screenings at the clinic.
Personal hygiene for girls
Imas donated pads for Dirang Ka Natla Secondary School. The initiative was led by Phillip Masisi from Imas. The principal, Michael Mochela, thanked them for the donation.
International Mandela Day: Kids join in the celebrations
Children from St Peter’s Catholic Church, Jouberton celebrated Mandela Day by showing love and appreciation to the grandparents. After Mass, they served tea and coffee to the senior citizens. Tshireletso Pooke Khanya Somatika, Omphile Somatika, Onthatile Sesing, Reatlegile Seokolo, Otlotleng Makoloi and Tlhalefo Matome also dressed up.
International Mandela Day: Addressing teenage pregnancy
The Preshco Woman’s Clinic in Klerksdorp CBD hosted Mandela Day with Ms Northwest Exclusive Finalist Irene Motsamai at the Living Water Ministry Church in Kanana. They talked about teenage pregnancy in the community. The campaign was supported by several stakeholders representing Department of Social Development, Department of Health, as well as Department of Education. Sr Precious Mashupi gave the talk.
