tswe, Tigane - The wife of the co-founder of the ANC branch in Tigane was buried last weekend. Ruth Rothman (62) was married to Phillip Rothman. She passed away on June 6 after she suffered burns on her body while cooking. She was laid to rest on Saturday June 14. Comrade Tshebi as she was called, served as the deputy secretary of the ANC Women’s League in 1995. In 2000, she was involved in fund-raising and logistics. She was still active in organizing preparations for next year’s elections. She is survived by her husband, two children, a grandson, three siblings and her comrades.
