Lentswe, Wolmaransstad - This year, the 14th annual Funda Mzansi Competition took place with two members of Wolmaransstad Book Club who were selected to compete at George, Western Cape Province National level. The Funda Mzansi Championship is the brainchild of the National Library of South Africa (NLSA,) which started in 2010. One of the competition’s goals is to ensure that all official languages, including indigenous languages, are read, learned, and written by South Africans. 

Wolmaransstad Book Club members also competed in the Funda Mzansi Competition for the first time in the competition’s history. Galeemelwe Tsietso, Khumalo iNoset, Atlarelang Tau, Daniel Chowe, Sejamoholo Kagiso and Mpho Seedi with Bonolo Sebanyoni (Diamond-Boss) competed.

They participated in the following categories:
- Spelling Bee in Setswana and English.
- Debate in Setswana and English.
- Book Review in Setswana and English. 
- Reading Setswana and English.
