The N12 at the Latham Street fourway crossing was closed for hours on December 17, after the body of a man was found lying in the street. Police confirmed the deceased suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Authorities were on the scene while the road remained closed. The man’s car was later located parked at the Protea Hotel. At the time going to press, the body has not been identified yet. Col Adele Myburgh, police spokesperson, confirmed that detectives were on the crime scene and investigation is ongoing.
