Lentswe, Jouberton - Jabulani Street in Jouberton, one of the busiest entry points near the vibrant Tower Mall - underwent a remarkable transformation. GLENCO, in partnership with WESSA, UNICEF’s Green Rising Project, and a spirited group of volunteers, united to make this cleaning campaign an unforgettable success on December 6.
The day was a testament to the power of community action and the collective will to tackle environmental challenges head-on.

Volunteers tirelessly picked up waste amounting to an impressive 2 865 kilograms, proving that small efforts, when combined, can lead to extraordinary outcomes.

The Green Rising Project, a UNICEF-led initiative, was instrumental in mobilizing resources and energizing the campaign. By focusing on sustainable development and youth empowerment, they en-
sured that this effort was not just about cleaning but about inspiring long-term environmental stewardship.

WESSA’s expertise and guidance played a crucial role in ensuring that the campaign left a lasting im-
pact. Their commitment to environmental education and sustainable practices brought structure and purpose to the initiative, motivating everyone involved.

At the heart of this campaign were the volunteers, whose passion and dedication turned an ambitious vision into a reality. From sunrise preparations to the final collection of waste, their energy and determination transformed Jabulani Street into a cleaner, safer, and more inviting space.

Their selfless actions inspire us all to take ownership of our shared environment.
