Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The Matlosana municipality made it clear that they do not sell any posts and no one should pay for any position in order for them to be employed. They also warned anyone who is found to be selling jobs at the municipality.

Ntswaki Makgetha: AD Communication and Marketing, said the city became aware of certain individuals who are misleading vulnerable job seekers, promising to give them jobs and, in return, the job seekers are expected to pay them a certain fee.

“The municipality does not sell or require any form of payment for any post. Residents are advised to follow the correct procedures by applying by CV that is accompanied by an employment form. The form is provided by Human Resources.”

The posts for general worker positions are currently closed and proper procedures will be made for calling the qualifying candidates.

“Be warned! Anyone that is found guilty of selling posts. The municipality will open a case of fraudulent conduct,” said Makgetha.

She added: “It must also be noted that the city’s Human Resources Department will not communicate to applicants via SMS or WhatsApp.

“This is in reference with the recently advertised 200 general workers’ posts.”
